With each season comes change. We change our jobs. We change our friends. We change our relationships. We change our goals. We change our minds. This year has been difficult for many of us, but with change comes possibility, a newness that accompanies the change. Change doesn’t have to be negative. Change can absolutely denote positivity.

In this issue, we touch on how changing your mindset can lead you to opportunities that are not normally available. It’s all about manifesting greatness. Charlotte’s Closet takes over the cover with the jack of all trades, Al-Saadiq Banks. They speak about his legacy, his clothing line, and the recent adaptation of his novel “Sincerely Yours” to film on an exclusive interview launching Sept 12 on Ink Mag TV. Of course, we have our usual staples such as Write News, Boss Up, and of course, Horoscopes to help you plan your month.

Your words help mold your future. I urge you all to take the month of September to practice manifestation and self-care. Develop a habit to grant yourself grace when you need it. Work and play, in that order. That’s the key to a balanced life.

Happy Back to School to all the young ones.

With love and light
Julia, Allison & Charlotte

HERE'S A PEEK INSIDE OUR SEPTEMBER ISSUE

Howdy Do Closet Crew, hope all is well with you guys at the start of my absolute favorite month of the year. It's my birth month and Virgo Season. September is a month of change. The nights get colder, the leaves turn colors, and of course the absolutely fabulous Fashion Week in New York. There are so many amazing changes are taking place in Charlotte’s closet, I can barely keep up.

The first being the release of my very own merch line Crew Love by Charlotte's Closet named after my very own Closet Crew. The Crew Love merch contains all components of my uniform which consist of sweatpants a t-shirt and/or a cropped hoodie. As long as I have those I'm prepared for any and everything that comes my way.

THE CONVERSATION:

AG: The state of urban fiction has been dominated by women. How do you make your brand stand out?

OBSESSION: Honestly, my brand stands out because I'm genuine and likable, plus I have a unique logo/symbol that people love. I receive inbox messages saying how lovable, funny, and down to earth, I am. I don't think I'm above anyone and I talk to everyone. Readers love that I'm humble and supportive. These are the very reasons why people know me and my work. Being relatable and decent has gained me a lot of followers over the years. I'm grateful for that.
