Tell us about your clothing line and what inspired your brand.

NYC BLACKSHEEP started as an art project for my daughter. We tie-dyed some shirts together during the pandemic. I’ve always been into graffiti and art in general, which led to me adding all kinds of graphics to my pieces.

Describe your favorite aspects of being a designer.

My favorite aspect of being a designer is seeing someone you don’t know enjoying something you made or created.

What new skills did you have to acquire for your business?

I’m basically still a student of the game. It was a natural progression; tie-dying led to garment dying which led to indigo shibori techniques. Block printing led to screen printing etc.
