ALMOST AT THE HALFWAY MARK
NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides tools, structure, community, and encouragement to help people find their voices, achieve creative goals, and build new worlds — on and off the page.
NaNoWriMo believes in the transformational power of creativity. We provide the structure, community, and encouragement to help people find their voices, achieve creative goals and build new worlds—on and off the page.
Camp NaNoWriMo is a great way to get started writing a novel.
Have you ever heard of Camp NaNoWriMo? This month-long challenge is like NaNoWriMo and encourages both fictional and nonfiction texts. Unlike NaNoWriMo, the main distinction is that the goals you set are unofficial, and you can tackle any type of writing mission.
At this camp, I'm working on world-building for my vampire series that I'm working on with my husband/business partner Braheim. It's a twelve-book series filled with witches and wolves and bloodsuckers (oh my)
How does Camp NaNoWriMo work?
Well, this writer follows the beat of her own drum. I rarely join the official site, and usually join a few writers on Facebook and follow the journey of other authors on #authortube (on YouTube) I love the conversational vlogs and hearing about other writers' processes.
However, you can follow the official steps here and join camp with thousands of writers world here...
HAPPY WRITING
